Situated in tranquil hamlet called Townhead at the uppermost part of Troutbeck village, the cottage is one end of a terrace of three rustic Georgian cottages with its own private parking for two vehicles, a garden and an outdoor seating area. The kitchen has panoramic views over the Troutbeck valley onto Yoke and other western summits of the Kentmere Horseshoe. Troutbeck Village has two excellent pubs and a Village Store and Cafe. Windermere is a 5 minute drive, Ullswater is a spectacular 20 minute drive over Kirkstone Pass and both these routes are also served by the 508 local bus service. The bus stop is 50 m or so from the front door. Other highlights include:
